Kinesense Redact

Description

With increasing sources of video coming from mobile video and body worn devices (BWD), dealing with video becomes more onerous. This is especially true when video must be redacted during Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to ensure data privacy. Kinesense Redact enables you to import any video format and redact it. Choose from multiple blur patterns to cover the faces of a victim or witnesses, licence plates, house numbers etc.

  • Conform to data protection laws – An individual can now request a copy of video in which they appear that has been recorded by you. Data protection laws mean that you must provide a copy. In doing so, you must blur or redact the face or other identifiers of third parties. Kinesense Redact provides you with the tools to do this.
  • Speed up dealing with FOIA request – There is no need to apply redactions frame by frame; the process can be automated. Multiple redactions can be applied to the same video. Audio can also be masked in case a person’s details are recorded in the audio feed.
  • Quick auditable reports – Video can be stitched together and exported to AVI or DVD so that you can share quickly. All the steps you have taken to redact and report are tracked, so you can prove you did not delete key frames from the original video during the redaction process.

About Kinesense

In 2009, Mark and Sarah set out to solve a needle in a haystack problem: how to find critical evidence hidden in thousands of hours of video. The time and effort required to retrieve, view, analyse and report on video footage as evidence is a huge drain on resources. CCTV needed a new strategy, a new model and new tools. Kinesense was born to help get actionable intelligence from video faster.
