Amped Software training courses provide hands-on training on the use of Amped Software products as well as provide insight into the challenges users face in forensic video and digital multimedia evidence processing. Our courses are delivered worldwide by experienced instructors, in-person or live online, in groups with users from multiple organizations or in private organization-specific sessions.
The purpose of the Amped Software training is to:
- Provide students with the theory and the basics of image processing
- Understand the issues affecting images and videos in an investigative context
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of all software features to solve those issues, including the technical and scientific background behind the implemented techniques
- Learn the workflow that is compatible with forensic needs and constraints to take the proper steps to obtain better results

Investigating Video Evidence Training
Introduction to Video Evidence for Investigators
This is an entry-level course designed for investigators and first responders. You will learn how to apply a firm legal process when handling and reporting image and video evidence in daily investigations.
Throughout the course, you will learn the basics of image and video analysis, including converting proprietary video files, applying basic corrections to images, and preparing evidence for presentations with redactions and annotations. You will also examine common challenges and pitfalls that can affect reliability and admissibility of digital multimedia evidence.
The course combines lectures with hands-on exercises based on practical or simulated cases using Amped Replay. By the end of the course, you will have the knowledge and practical skills to examine and process image and video evidence correctly using a forensically sound workflow that supports courtroom admissibility.

Amped FIVE Training
Forensic Image And Video Enhancement
This is a beginner and intermediate-level course designed for users who are seeking to use Amped FIVE for their investigations.
You will learn the fundamentals of image and video analysis along with the issues you may face when using digital multimedia evidence in investigations. The course combines lectures with hands-on training, including many practical exercises based on real or simulated cases in Amped FIVE.
By the end of the course, you will have the knowledge and practical skills to properly analyze and process images and videos using a workflow that aligns with forensic needs and constraints.

Amped FIVE Additions Training
Advanced Image And Video Analysis
This is an expert-level course for users previously trained in Amped FIVE.
Because Amped FIVE evolves rapidly, you may benefit from a refresher after about 12–18 months. In this course, you will strengthen your understanding of new tools, learn how to interpret results correctly, and apply updated functionality to your casework with confidence. During the course, you will also look at advanced techniques and concepts for some of the original filters, such as Aspect Ratio Correction and Photogrammetry.
The course is designed on a modular system, allowing a bespoke personalized schedule dependent on when the original training was received.
Amped Authenticate Training
Photo, Video, and Deepfake Forensics
This course is designed for users who want to use Amped Authenticate in their investigations. You will learn the methods necessary to perform authentication analysis on digital images, from technical examination through reporting and courtroom presentation.
The course combines lectures with hands-on exercises. By the end of the course, you will have the knowledge and practical skills to analyze digital images with a workflow that aligns with forensic needs and constraints.

Amped FIVE Training Modules
Advanced Video Forensics Modules
The Amped FIVE Training Modules are designed specifically for end-users to acquire more advanced skills and knowledge within technical areas of video forensics. Each module focuses on students’ needs and the evolving requirements of digital forensics, enabling you to perform your work with clear, achievable objectives.
Because the program is modular, you can progress at your own pace and tailor your learning to the technical areas where you want to specialize.
Learning Objectives :
- Gain greater expertise in Amped FIVE.
- Improve how you prepare and present evidence for court.
- Perform height analysis and speed estimation utilizing photogrammetry and measurement filters.
- Develop confidence in extracting video from CCTV and other video storage systems.
- Stay current with the latest Amped FIVE features and updates.
All modules have an approximate duration of 12 hours. These hours can be completed over 2 full days for In-Person Training or 3 half days for Live Online Training.
