Vehicle Data Reconstructor (VDR)
Description
The Vehicle Data Reconstructor is a specialized solution for Law Enforcement Agencies that helps to extract, parse and present data from modern vehicle systems. It supports a wide range of Infotainment head units and Telematic modules of various manufacturers, delivering clear, actionable reports for investigations.
HOW IT WORKS
The target module such as Infotainment, Telematics, Wireless, or eCall is removed from the vehicle and disassembled. For physical acquisition, either a specialized solderless ISP adapter is attached for non‑invasive acquisition from the printed circuit board, or the chip is unsoldered (“chip‑off”) for direct readout. The built-in large database of devices is used to find and select the matching solution. Once the raw memory image is dumped, file systems and proprietary file formats are parsed automatically into a standardized case package. Finally, investigator can load the case package into VDR Report Manager for advanced analysis and report generation. Along with report the physical extraction of file system of device is also provided.
